Welfare of the agricultural community is the founding ideology of the KLE Society. In addition to providing educational opportunities to the farming folk, the Society is also committed to aspects like providing the farmers with valuable insights and experience regarding innovative farming practices, crop management, adoption of technology, etc. Looking into geographical area and crop diversity in Belagavi district, ICAR sanctioned a Krishi Vigyan Kendra to KLE Society in 2011 to cater to the needs of the farming community in Belagavi district.

Presently, KVK is working closely with several governmental agencies and agricultural universities on programs pertaining to instructional farming & demonstrations, farm trails, seed & seedling production to convince farmers on new technologies of agriculture & allied fields, etc. KVK also conducts workshops, interactions and exhibitions to promote scientific cultivation practices and provide farmers with the much needed interventions and training.
